Experience Finnish Life Through Language and Learning

If you wish to study or build your career in Finland, the Huvitus Finnish Language Course is the perfect starting point. Designed for learners of all ages and goals — from high school and university students to those seeking vocational training — the program offers Finnish language education and certification delivered by expert instructors. Classes are organized according to participants’ age groups and learning objectives, ensuring personalized instruction. Following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the hybrid model aims to take learners from beginner level to at least B1 proficiency. Beyond language instruction, the program integrates academic preparation, cultural adaptation, personal development, and counseling modules to ensure learners adapt smoothly to Finnish culture and life. In Finland’s stunning landscape of forests and lakes, Huvitus offers more than language learning — it offers the experience of living the Finnish way of life.

WHY LEARN FINNISH?

Learning Finnish is not only key to integrating into Finnish society and culture, but also to fully unlocking the advantages of studying in Finland.

  • High School Students: Learning Finnish is essential for admission to local high schools, understanding courses, participating successfully in exams and projects, and integrating into daily school life.
  • University Applicants: Finnish proficiency allows students to access a wider range of opportunities — from scholarships and research participation to engaging more deeply in academic life and social circles.
  • Vocational Students: For those pursuing vocational education, Finnish is crucial for gaining admission, completing training and internships smoothly, and transitioning effectively into the workforce.

OUR EDUCATION MODEL

The Huvitus Finnish Language Education Program offers a hybrid learning model designed according to students’ age and academic goals. Classes consist of 15–20 learners and are conducted by expert educators in line with the CEFR framework.

Students begin by studying Finnish online for seven months, three days a week for two hours per day, learning foundational skills from their home countries.
They then continue with four months of intensive in-person instruction at the Huvitus Campus in Finland, attending five-hour daily sessions four days a week.

The goal is to bring learners from beginner to B1 level or higher. Both online and on-campus progress is closely monitored, and personalized support is provided when necessary.

Through this approach, students not only gain academic and linguistic proficiency but also adapt naturally to Finnish daily life. On-campus learning includes workshops, counseling, and guidance programs that deepen both linguistic and cultural competence.

CAMPUS ADVANTAGES

The Huvitus Campus, located in the heart of Finland’s nature — where the forest meets the lake — provides an inspiring setting for immersive learning.

After completing their online studies, students arrive in Finland for four months of residential, face-to-face training. They stay in comfortable double or triple rooms, enjoying both private space and social interaction.

Daily life at the campus includes three nutritious main meals and snacks, promoting a balanced lifestyle. Students are free to use the campus lake, forest areas, open spaces, and indoor/outdoor sports facilities.
With free high-speed internet, they can maintain their academic work and stay connected with family and friends.

The campus buildings are designed to offer both structured classroom settings and independent study spaces. Meanwhile, the natural environment becomes an extension of the classroom — students practice Finnish through nature walks, group activities, and cultural events.

At Huvitus, learning extends beyond the classroom — it happens in nature, through community, and in everyday life.

ACADEMIC, PERSONAL, AND CULTURAL SUPPORT SERVICES

Huvitus aims not only to teach Finnish but to help each student gain the most from their educational and cultural experience in Finland.

Through academic preparation programs, students are equipped for their next stage of study.
Cultural adaptation modules ensure smooth integration into Finland’s social and professional life.
Workshops and personal development sessions build confidence, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Meanwhile, guidance and counseling services support students at every step — from academic planning to career orientation and daily living arrangements.

This holistic approach enables Huvitus students to go beyond language learning: they excel academically, thrive socially, and complete their educational journey in Finland with confidence and competence.
